John Updike's "A&P" was one of my favorite readings from when I attended high school. I actually grew up quite close to Ipswich, MA where the short story is placed. I would greatly enjoy reading the critiques from your students on this particular story. Please send them my way at jcraig@mvuschool.org.

Thanks for the feedback, bro. Updike is one of my favorite writers of all time. I've read most of his works and HAD to put him in Boot Camp somewhere. He shows up again in our Poetry Review next semester. I poems from "Carpenter's Hen" and "Telephone Poles."
